Weight of Biathlon Rifle
[edit]A 3.5 kg biathlon rifle is heavy for a rifle chamfered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. The Ruger model 10/22 which uses the same cartridge weighs 2.3 kg and single shot 22 rifles weigh about 1.4 kg. Although target rifles tend to be heavy for functional purposes, the weight of Biathlon rifles was originally set to duplicate the weight of military rifles. For instance both the U. S. M1903 Springfield and the German K98 carbine weigh 3.9 kg. JayDee53 (talk) 01:38, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
Cheating
[edit]Is China cheating. I've and seen a nbr of things that indicate they are. Some Gold Medalists are not allowed to defend their medals because they have COVID. Do they really or is this something the Chinese have trumped up. I actually saw the Chinese frisking and removing things from the Biathlon participants as they left the venue. I find it very interesting that athletes are perfoming almost empty venues !! What do they not want the world to see ??? 2600:100C:B258:48D:6402:F43D:FE9F:3BDE (talk) 18:12, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
